When Andrew Melrose founded Melrose's tea company in 1812, few could have envisaged the successful worldwide tea trading company that would emerge over the following years. In 1835, Andrew was the first merchant to land tea in Britain, outside London, on the Tea Clipper ‘Isabella'. This was a historic moment which marked a change in the British trade forever.
